Cemetery Trustee Meeting June 25, 2010   6:30pm Stratford Hollow Fire Station

Present:   Bill Zanes, Chuck Stinson, Rose Connary, Ron Connary

Bill read the old business [minutes]; Ron Connary accepted and Bill 2^nd.

New Business: 

                Tom Covill will be the new sexton. 

                Ron Connary showed the copies of the maps that he got from the Lancaster Library.  Came from a book that Nancy Dodge made of all the northern NH cemeteries.   Bill said he had a map of D and E section that weren’t in the book.   Ron wants a copy of them for the records and to give to the Library.  Bill will check if it can be done.   Maybe Darlene Smith could do it.

                Ron gave 4 – 5 gallon pails of water seal to Suzanne Goulet so the 4-H students could paint the Center Cemetery fence.  Patty Summers has the brushes, etc.   It will be done on June 28^th if not raining.   Rain date is July 11^th.

                Went over the new by-laws and will make changes in the next meeting.  Talked about only allowing one piece vaults,  benches can’t be any bigger than a head stone, only two plastic type/Styrofoam  flower arrangement per headstone.

                Mower in Center Cemetery has to be more careful and not mow so short.   Mower digging up the dirt.  Bill will give him a call.

                Talked about putting a fence back up in the back of Center Cemetery.   At least the posts.   Also building a new fence (like the front) on the side toward the pool.   Then do the north side.

                Sent pictures of the stone repairs (before and after) to Kevin Summers.  Trying to make up a pamphlet  to promote the importance of keeping the cemeteries in good shape.   Lots of family relatives in all the cemeteries.  Ron needs help with the word body part.

                Talked about why the town office can’t make up a spreadsheet with all the new burials – full name, birth date, date passed away and where buried.
