Cemetery Trustee Meeting   May 17, 2011   6:00pm Stratford Hollow Fire Station

Trustees present: Bill Zanes, Chuck Stinson and Ron Connary

Bill read the old business.   Ron made a motion to accept and Bill seconded the motion; passed unanimously.

Part of old business:   Tom Covill will use the pile of sand that’s in the back of the cemetery to fill in the tracks of the road for $500. We okayed this.   Want to ask Mr. Covill what the cost would be to remove the stone in the entrance of the north side road.  This will allow the entrance to be lowered so cars won’t drag.   Mr. Covill will do this when he does the sand in the road at no cost.

Bill will check on encumbered funds and the $150 from the Brown family.

Bill made the motion to have John Pike install the new fence (approx. 70 feet) on the north end of the cemetery for $1,400 and Ron seconded it; passed unanimously.   The brush will have to be cleared first. 

New business:   Bill called Norm Fortin to have start mowing May 18, 2011.  He’ll ask if Mr. Fortin will mow a little higher.   Price for 2011 - $190/ trip Center cemetery; $30/ for Haynes and Burnside.

We ask for another copy of the book by Nancy Dodge – Northern New Hampshire Graveyards and Cemeteries.

Baldwin Cemetery map needs to be upgraded and a walk around to check the survey line pins.

Check with Dana Nordberg to see how many stone repairs can be made this year for the $2,000.   Dana will come down May 18, 2011 around 1 pm.

Talked about removing the brush and trees growing in the Center cemetery.   Will be removing a dead tree in the Haynes cemetery.

Need to get a copy of the by-laws and start updating them.
